Meet Sahnai Williams, a young entrepreneur who has broken into the social media management industry at just 16 years old. We were able to conduct an exclusive interview with Sahnai to learn all the inside scoop on how she became her own “TeenCEO”.

What is Social Media Management?
Social media management is the process of creating, scheduling, analyzing, and engaging with content posted on social media platforms to build a brand and connect with an audience. Sahnai focuses on creating traction on the videos she creates through SEO (Search Engine Optimization). She breaks down SEO in a simple way, comparing it to using hashtags on TikTok and aiming to be at the top of the search results by creating content that people engage with the most. “SEO is basically trying to get to the top of the search bar”. When asked how to stand out in a crowded market, her advice is to lean into authenticity, and to always remember “nobody else is you on the internet”.
Starting Young in Social Media Management
Sahnai Williams entered the social media management space after a video she created for her mom’s coffee shop hit 7000+ views. Realizing she had a passion for content creation, she began building her clientele network of family, friends, and business-to-business referrals. Her key advice for beginners is to focus on learning rather than just making money. At the same time, she stresses the importance of setting clear boundaries with clients: “Just have a strong contract, and if they’re a good client and a good business, then they’ll know not to ask for more than what you both agreed to.”
Navigating Business as a Teen
Being a teen entrepreneur is no easy feat when it comes to balancing school, staying organized, and scaling your business. Sahnai uses a spreadsheet, Canva’s Brand Kit, Notion, and HoneyBook to stay organized and deliver quality work consistently. “If you have good systems, it’s easy," Williams said. She’s in a dual enrollment program that allows her to take college courses early and credits her success to time management, to-do lists, and structured free time. Sahnai admits that juggling school and work hasn’t always been easy, and she’s faced moments of stress that taught her the importance of prioritizing work-life balance. She also challenges the common misconception that teens are under qualified, confidently stating, “Teenagers are the most qualified for social media right now.”
Sahnai Williams (Inspiration, Future Goals, Accomplishments)
Williams draws inspiration from her entrepreneurial parents and creators like Eileen Yang and her aunt, who “only posts her life” and stays authentic online, something Sahnai deeply admires. Sahnai's dedication to her craft led her to be featured on Good Morning America, gaining mass exposure. Sahnai dreams of becoming a digital nomad. “My main goal is to move to Italy when I’m 18 and like, be completely remote,” she says. For Sahnai, success means freedom, graduating with her associate’s degree, traveling the world, and building a life where she can “live from her computer” and work with happy, inspired clients.
